in the past five years since Farclear was released, I've had a lot going on in my life. I've since entered and graduated from college, traveled to South Africa for my Master's degree, begun so many very meaningful relationships, and learned so much about the world, my music, and my purpose. The result of that time spent searching, discovering, and reimagining is this: A Forest Void of Stars.

These nine tracks were written entirely from my home in West Point, New York. I performed, programmed, recorded, and produced everything you're hearing here. If it sounds bad, that's why. I am no expert. I wouldn't even say I'm intermediate. But I love to create, and I love to share. I did a lot of experimenting with production style, guitar sounds, genre influence, and songwriting structures here. It's even, somewhat, an instrumental concept album that repeats and revisits a good amount of its ideas and motifs. Lofty for someone with such a minuscule understanding of how music actually works.

Anyway, I've babbled for long enough. I, Zach Buddie, present to you: A Forest Void of Stars. The follow-up to Farclear, my second ever full-length LP, and a new chapter for the Beautiful Nightmare Climax. I sincerely hope you enjoy.
